Many of you will recognize this reference from “that Scottish play” and yes, it’s bad luck to mention it in a theatre. Since I’m not certain what happens if you mention it in a cartoon blog, I won’t, as it’s sure to be sinister!
Nearly two years ago, when I first decided to create “Suits and Guarders,” I sat down and listed out the types of gags and humor accessible to a group of teens and young adults working at a pool. I wanted to be certain that there would be enough material to make a cartoon series. Turns out, I didn’t need to worry. Teens and young adult lifeguards are often studying for classes in between their time on the stand. This is the first of a number of Shakespeare references in “Suits and Guarders.” Trust me; with a little British literature, a little art, a twisted sense of humor and these crazy characters, I’ll be writing cartoons for a long, long time.
