Here are some of the oasis marks for my year:
January 10th, I became re-certified as a Lifeguard.
February 1st, my comic strip was copyrighted.
February 18th - March 4th: I became immersed in a self-directed M.C. Escher project. It gave me so much energy and joy. You can view it here:

April 11th I launched “Suits and Guarders” on Go Comics Sherpa.

April 30th I participated in the U.S. Masters Spring Nationals.
In May, Lifeguard Times Online Jobs Fair featured four of my cartoons about Liz and her first days at work.
I taught 18 sessions of swim lessons throughout the summer and fall.
In the months August through December, I entered six illustration/cartoon contests, started as an assistant swim coach for a year round swim team and got back in the water competitively.
And…..I completed 100 comic strips this year.
Normally, humor is the subject matter for my blogs. Motivating blogs aren’t quite as comfortable, since I always imagine people reading and commenting, “Young whipper-snapper, what does he know?” Anyway, the list thing really helps me. I hope you found some hidden gems in your review of 2016.
Happy New Year everyone!
