I can’t say the journey has been a completely easy one, but definitely one worth doing. Frustration with certain tasks is a normal thing; however when you’re a cartoon character like myself, things just seem to take on an air of exasperation. (Insert cartoon balloon here “AAAAAUUUGGGHH!!”) If cartoon panels make my life visual for others to see, watching the frustration from afar would be laughable. If you are the one in the panel dealing with me, it’s enough to make your hair stand on end. Did I mention my need for perfection in artwork? Just another reason I did not jump on the social media bus right away. “You really want to see this crummy little scrap of paper that I drew in five minutes? Really?” Finding out that people actually want to see your rough sketch is still surprising to me!
Somehow since June, I’ve managed to get all of the panels scanned, edited and now copyrighted for what I hope will be an e-book. Yes it was frustrating. Navigating the internet can be a cumbersome situation for someone like me who prefers having clean, smooth paper under my fingers. But again worth doing and needed to be done. Hopefully I will have a free mini-comic for my subscribers before the e-book is published. If you have not already signed up for updates, reconsider the possibilities. It’s only one more thing to sit in your inbox and if you really can’t stand it sitting there unopened, don’t worry. Stay calm and don’t panic. Take a deep breath and hit the delete button. Isn’t technology great?!!
